Scholarship

In order to encourage students to take EMI courses and enhance their English proficiency, the School of Dentistry will provide the following measures to reward undergraduate students who take EMI courses:

EMI Course Completion Reward:

  • Freshman students who earn 8 credits or more in EMI courses in the academic year will be awarded TWD$3,000.
  • Sophomore students who earn 8 credits or more in EMI courses in the academic year will be awarded TWD$5,000.
  • Students who successfully apply for and receive the Taipei Medical University Bilingual Center's full English course credit reward of TWD$2,000 will receive an additional TWD$5,000.

Off-campus English Proficiency Test Reward:

  • Freshman students who provide proof equivalent to CEFR B2 level proficiency will be awarded TWD$3,000.
  • Students who provide proof equivalent to CEFR C1 level proficiency will be awarded TWD$10,000.
  • The above off-campus English proficiency tests include TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge Main Suite, GEPT, and other English tests approved by the university. The proficiency level will be based on the Taipei Medical University's exemption score comparison table (Appendix 1).

Participation Reward in the "Building English Proficiency Test" (BESTEP):

  • Students who individually register for the speaking and writing test and obtain a score will be awarded TWD$1,000.
  • Students who register for the listening, reading, speaking, and writing tests and obtain a score will be awarded TWD$2,000.
