To enhance the willingness of our faculty to teach in English and create an immersive English learning environment, the college will also formulate a reward policy for teachers. This will include participation in EMI training courses offered by our Bilingual Center and the development of EMI courses.

  1. Incentives for In-House EMI Professional Certification:

    • TWD$10,000 and a certificate will be awarded upon obtaining EMI Education Advanced Certification to encourage participation.
    • TWD$50,000 and a certificate will be awarded upon obtaining EMI Education High-level Certification to encourage participation.
  2. EMI Course Development Incentives:

    • TWD$10,000 will be awarded to faculty members who develop EMI courses. This reward can only be applied for once per EMI courses.
    • If a faculty member successfully applies for in-house awards related to EMI education, such as "Quality EMI Course (apply for rewards each semester)," "Undergraduate Department's First EMI Course," and "Courses taught in EMI mode for more than 6 weeks," the college will provide an additional TWD$10,000 to teachers who have successfully applied for awards within the college. This reward can be applied for once for each different award successfully applied for by the teacher, with a maximum of three applications.
  3. External English Proficiency Test Enhancement Incentives for Teachers:

    • TWD$50,000 will be awarded to faculty members who provide proof equivalent to CEFR C1 level proficiency.
    • External English proficiency tests include TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge Main Suite, GEPT, and other English tests approved by the university.
