Purpose
The aim of the establishment is to provide a research and development unit that focuses on the research and development of dental preservation and dental stem cells. With the establishment of a dental tissue preservation bank, it will be expanded to the separation and preservation of dental stem cells and various clinical applications, and will be coordinated and integrated Various research resources, combined with the relevant medical system, to provide services and research and teaching work to enhance the academic status of our school.
Operating Direction
The center to three goals to expand the benefits of dental banks:
(1) Continue to improve the technique of dental transplantation and will try feasibility study of allotransplantation to expand the application range of frozen teeth.
(2) To develop clinical stem cell therapy and use the potential of stem cell differentiation to obtain appropriate cell materials for applications such as tissue regeneration, cosmetic medicine and geriatric medicine.
(3) To promote the concept of self-preservation of teeth so that people can develop the habit of keeping natural teeth so as to enhance their oral health.
Research Field
(1) Cryosurgery of teeth: clinical tooth decay treatment of dental stem cell bank: establish various types of dental stem cell culture technology and confirm the stem cell surface markers and induction of differentiation.
(2) Animal experiment: Taking Lanyu pig as animal experiment mode, the ability of tissue repair of implanted animal body implanted in mixed culture of stem cells and biomedicine was explored.
(3) The development of clinical treatment model: Dental banking is the main axis, using tissue engineering derived various clinical treatment methods and apply for clinical trials (Affiliated Hospital of Taipei Medical University,
(4) Study on the Physiological and Differentiation of Dental Stem Cells: the changes of cell physiology before and after freezing, culture environment and the influence of inducing substances.
