Leading Oral Medicine toward Smart Healthcare and International Excellence
We extend our sincere gratitude to the University, our alumni, and all sectors of society for their continuous support. The College of Oral Medicine at Taipei Medical University has grown from its origins in 1960, when the School of Dentistry was established alongside the founding of TMU. Over the decades, it has flourished into the only College of Oral Medicine in Taiwan that encompasses School of Dentistry, School of Dental Technology, and School of Oral Hygiene.
The affiliated oral medical services of Taipei Medical University have likewise expanded, beginning with TMU Hospital and subsequently incorporating Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital and Shuang Ho Hospital, forming a network of three major teaching hospitals. I am deeply grateful and honored to assume the role of Dean, and to continue leading the College toward its next stage of excellence and innovation.
In an era marked by rapid advancements in smart healthcare, digital technology, and biomedical science, as well as the societal challenges of aging populations and declining birth rates, the College of Oral Medicine stands at a critical juncture. Our mission is no longer limited to training highly skilled clinical practitioners; rather, we aspire to cultivate oral health professionals equipped with forward-looking perspectives, interdisciplinary integration capabilities, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Guided by this belief, I will work together with all faculty members and students to promote institutional innovation and optimize resources. Through these efforts, the College of Oral Medicine at TMU will continue to advance steadily amid the changing times, striving toward becoming a leading center of teaching and research in Asia and a world-class institution.
