Greetings to all visitors,

Since Taipei Medical University College of oral medicine (TMU COM) was established in 2001, eighteen years have passed.  With the dedication by former deans, professor Lin, Che-Tong, Ou, Keng-Liang, Tsai Hung-Huey, and Wang Da-Yen, our school has made remarkable progress.  Since my transition from acting dean in august of 2018 to officially taking leadership from march this year, I approach this role with the spirit of running a relay race.  Through innovative thinking, adaptation to change, and embracement of passion, the college of oral medicine will achieve excellence.

My mission is to cultivate the future generation of talent in oral medicine and research development.  With the vision of striving to become the number one college of oral medicine internationally, I present four principle strategies, which are “diversified development, team effort, global integration, and sustainable management”.  To achieve the six major goals in service, education, research, clinical, industry-academic cooperation, and global, we shall work collaborately on execution of these various proposed projects, which are briefly described as follows:  

 

 

1. Service: Reinforce effective administrative management
Improve administrative efficiency, change organizational culture, revitalize mentoring program, active fund-raising, and coordinate alumni resources

2. Education: Develop excellent quality teaching
Improve learning environment, provide training program for outstanding teachers, innovative and diverse AI teaching projects, strengthen clinical teaching, and consolidation of teaching quality

3. Research: Boost research production
Elevate number and quality of research output, integrate basic clinical knowledge, utility of specialized research, build new research institutes, improve lab environment, routinely monitor rewards

4. Clinical: Integrate clinical
Distinguished faculty promotion, collaborate staffing from 3 affiliated hospitals, utilize medical specialty, dental translation center, and become a major medical training center

5. Industry-academic cooperation: Strengthen industry-academic cooperation opportunity
Alliance with local dental centers and hospitals, reinforcement of industry-academic cooperation, improve technology transfer projects.

6. Global: Expand scope of international Communication and integration
Global communication, engage in foreign research cooperation, global training center, increase number of foreign teachers and students   Please urge us on, and provide us with encouragements and support on our journey of taking our school towards becoming the best oral medical college internationally!
